Best radio at work

What radio do you prefer MAKITA, DEWALT, HITACHI or any other? what radio station is the best? I use MAKITA (BEST SOUND) 106.2 radio station

I take my Ipod and docking station. Need to get one of the ones you've mentioned though. Won't be long until i have an "accident" with my Ipod. Be interesting to see what people recommend in this topic.

Marshall Pure Evoke 1XT ltd ed DAB radio. Best for sound quality, volume & bass. Not get a better sound than a Marshall Celestion speaker!

Generally listen to Real XS Scotland or Planet Rock

I have the new Dewalt radio. Deffo better sound than older models , Also has 2 x 240v power ports , USB port and a proper power lead , unlike the Makita feeble transformer

yeh i wish makita had usb port and proper cable, still the best sound quality

Bosch radio for me, bit of a big lump but charges the drill batteries, has 2 x 240 outlets, 12v outlet and mp3 input.

I had a Dewalt, but now I have a Makita.Makita has better sound.
But these radios have a few years.So now may be a different situation.
However,for small bathrooms I use my smartphone

NON we get them on site used by the brain dead as I am deaf in one ear they are so loud I cannot hear what people are saying to me or when I am trying to work out important measurements scatter my brain and when I get them turned down or off I am not liked do I care NO

i have an older Dewalt , i does me ,but as i travel around jobs i think the makita have it ,in the sound dept, they all keep adding gimmicks to keep us buying the latest modal :yikes:

Just add when I used to tile domestics my guys were not allowed to use radios as I always felt it was rude to play music in other peoples houses only personail radios with earphones

Little ryobi radio for me, I like a radio that fits in my tool box and not one that needs me to make an extra trip back to the van for. I do a lot of commercial jobs and often have a long way to carry all my gear so like to travel light!

I have a cheap ASDA digital radio about £25. I have Radio 1 on until Chis moyles has finished then I switch over to radio 2 at 10:00am and listen to Ken bruce and half of Jeremy Vine until 1:00pm, then I listen to Radcliffe and Maconie on 6 music until 4:00pm then back over to Radio 2 for last hour of Steve Wright and then Simon Mayo.

I also have an old plasterers radio from out of a skip that I use sometimes.

Jula, my favourite shop, got 2 near me. I've got Peltor ear defenders with FM and AUX in, sell for NOK1500 but got them on offer NOK600, I wouldn't pay the normal price, far too tight. Got a DeWalt radio for work, had a competion last week which was louder, my radio or customers sons computer speakers. I won.

LOL, I could spend an entire day in Jula and Biltema. I suppose it's how women feel about Ikea, except they are wrong, and Jula and Biltema are great.

For U.K. members, Jula is like Machine Mart, and Biltema is like Machine Mart crossed with Halfords. :lol:

You've got a different photo on that Biltema catalogue to us! I hear you re Top Gear, pity the series has finished so soon. Did you see that BBC documentary about Group B rallying the other night? I watch BBC iPlayer via a U.K. proxy. It was interesting, some of the all time greats there, Ari Vatanen, Stig Blomqvist. And the cars. Check it out if you're able to watch BBC stuff on-line. Better than Songs of Praise...
