best tubbed adhesive for floors!?

I normally use bal green tubbed adhesive for walls and find it works a treat and seeing as im fresh in the business it gives me one less thing to worry about/add o my job time by not having to worry about mizing a new bucket and fear of it setting if i take too long between fixing. But the two smallish bathrooms and 1 large kitchen floor ive done have fortunately been able to get customer to use other rooms in their house for the day. I feel for walls, bal tubbed is great, but maybe takes a bit too long to set when using for the floors, and usually the customer acts ignorant and wants to use the floor as normal the minute you finish!

Any reccomendations for tubbed adhesive to use on floors that may set quicker than what im using?

errrr....none!!!!! Id always use powder addy normally rapid setting easy to work with give it a couple of hours(less in warm weather) ok for light foot traffic. I would think most tub addy sets through evaporation and will take ages to set. Cement addy sets by chemical reaction and as long as its a good make wont let you down.

Yip, big no no from me mate, tubbed addy should not be used to tile floors!

as above dont use tub gear on floors

Depending on tile and substrate Spenny something like BAL SPF is fine as it doesn`t set too quickly. Just mix to a double cream type consistency and htere`s nothing wrong with mixing small batches at a time til you get used to it, just make sure you clean your gear in between mixes though!

aye alright!! like i said im new to the game and not a million % confident in terms of time leaving my adhesive sitting in the bucket and really dont want to **** about with small batches which adds to time which im already a bit paranoid about-but guess i just need to get the stigma off my back about trying to get the job done as quickly as possible-sometimes i feel a bit of added pressure by the customer wanting it done at the drop of a hat!

Spenny....if you are not sure what to use.....ALWAYS ask.......it is best to be safe than sorry.........any questions just ask away ....there will always be somebody on here who will help.....maybe a bit micky taking off some but you will still get good advice.......

There is a big clue on the Bal Green Star adhesive tub...Its the part that says "Ceramic Wall Tile Adhesive"
