Big Gap???? Help

Tilers Forums Official Sponsors

Was asked to do a splashback in Mosaics today,I simply said the walls which were like a wave were not able to take mosaics as it would look awful.
If the walls aren't completely flat DON'T DO IT!

Aye, In my view you can get away with a lot of bad walls with normal tiles, but mosaics are a no no.

If the wall bows in quite a bit, just skim that area with some rapidset, then tile away.

is it possible to glue some 4 or 6 mm cement sheet to the wall to take up the gap and straighten the wall?

Guys

Some great advice,

I have told the customer what there option are and some option on filling the gap,

I have left it with them, if they want me to tile the area after they have made there decision i will list out the possible problems in my quote and get them to sign it, i do know these people so i have been very honest with them,

Great advice all and many thanks
