Haha I love this site, you are all so helpful, apart from Dave lol, red grout wth???

Now I've found you I'll be back when it comes to the floor tiles, have opted for Crystalstone Midnight black, found through Tilesporcelain. I definitely know its black grout all the way with those.

If anyone knows of anywhere where I could get them cheaper than would be nice :hurray:.

No, the units are completely walnut. I was talking about the wall colour against the cupboards.

ahhh I see! Is the walnut a high gloss or a matt finish? are the worktops flat black laminate / granite lookalike laminate or real granite?

If it was me i'd go for a biscuit coloured grout, you've gone for off white walls and a natural looking door so a white and black splashback would look a bit clinical in my eye but it's all down to personal taste.

My work is mostly kitchen and bathroom fitting and if you were my customer and were unsure on what way to go, I would knock up some sample boards for you with a few choices of grout. The cost of this would be around £50-60 which is a small price to pay to make sure you have something you are happy with

My dads mate is doing it for me, he is a tiler but has left it up to me to decide as he knows how choosy I am but I definitely agree with you on the clinical front and thats what I am trying to get away from.

The doors are matt finish and the worktop is black high gloss finish (I think) Granite was a little out of the price range, didn't stop me hanging on to it for dear life in the shop hoping it would come home with me :drool5:

Hmmm biscuit?? god, why is this so hard?

Thanks for sharing Bolter - this is more or less what my kitchen is so I can see exactly what it will look like. Ahh it looks really nice!

Why don't you like them? because they are hard to deal with or because they are becoming too popular now?

Personally, Im more into stone. Those black bricks look stunning, and I can appreciate the effect, I just wouldnt choose to put them up in my house. Just preference :)
