Black Bevelled Edge Brick tiles

Trouble with black grout against black tiles is there could be a shade difference resulting in the grout looking more grey than black IMO. I stand by my opinion that white would be my choice.

I'm having off white walls with Walnut cupboards and black worktop and obviously the black tiles. The kitchen is very bright, massive window.

I just thought the white grout worked better with white cupboards, Oh I don't know I am all confused now lol.

Ok so if I'm reading that right, the units are white but the doors will be walnut? Why are they not using decor panels on the cupboards or colour coded units, or are you going for white decor panels?

Yes I had thought of that too actually, Ok I'm sold, white it is!! It looks naff and I'll be heading to Sourbridge to see you Sir Ramic!!!

I Agree with Neale. If it was my kitchen I would go for white. You will lose the effect of the bevel and the brickbond if the grout matches the tile. If you are looking for a "slab" effect wall, you would be better with flat tiles and the matching grout in my humble opinion.

No, the units are completely walnut. I was talking about the wall colour against the cupboards.

How about Red grout.... confused now hey..lol lol...

|White grout for me too...

Haha I love this site, you are all so helpful, apart from Dave lol, red grout wth???

Now I've found you I'll be back when it comes to the floor tiles, have opted for Crystalstone Midnight black, found through Tilesporcelain. I definitely know its black grout all the way with those.

If anyone knows of anywhere where I could get them cheaper than would be nice :hurray:.

ahhh I see! Is the walnut a high gloss or a matt finish? are the worktops flat black laminate / granite lookalike laminate or real granite?

If it was me i'd go for a biscuit coloured grout, you've gone for off white walls and a natural looking door so a white and black splashback would look a bit clinical in my eye but it's all down to personal taste.

My work is mostly kitchen and bathroom fitting and if you were my customer and were unsure on what way to go, I would knock up some sample boards for you with a few choices of grout. The cost of this would be around £50-60 which is a small price to pay to make sure you have something you are happy with
