I got a blue ray player for Christmas, only plugged it in a couple of days ago.
Picture is ace with brilliant detail.
I have a JVC DVD sound system which when operating is absolutely unreal so I could have done without more wires, lol. Time will tell, I have to link it to system yet.

the Mrs has bought the above,plus samsung 46 inch LED TV from comet, before the VAT, increase!! nothing wrong with the telly she is replacing,sony 42 inch :yikes:

I have a Sony BluRay and I really like it. Some BluRay movies are better than others. The best are the modern animations which almost give a 3D effect. We're currently watching the boxset of 'The Pacific' and the picture quality is excellent but like I said some of them there's not a massive difference in picture quality.

I also have a Sagem digital recorder and it's 'ok.' Avoid the Thomson one as I had that one and it was a pain. If this one goes I think I'll go for a better brand with 320gb. In general I like them as recording is so simple and you can freeze or rewind a programme at any time.

I also have freeview and it's more than adequate for my needs.

mine is a 40" LED LCD Samsung, paid big bucks last year for it and i seen it a few days ago with over £300 off !! lol

Yeh blu rat is amazing if you like films, as said you do need a 1080p tv to get the most from it

yes just took the samsung out of the box and fitted the stand!!, i might wall mount it yet,it been sitting in the hallway for a couple of day's!! the Mr's can connect up the wire's,and yes she is out shopping again :yikes: oh also have a monster HD TV Performance pack in another box :lol: i might get that out to!! the binn-men are coming tomoz :hurray:
