Bored With Tiling?

How many of you out there, if any, are bored with tiling? I enjoy the little that I do and I enjoyed the course I attended. But i'm a mechanical fitter by trade and it bores me sh****ss as i've been doing it for the most part of 27 years. Also sick of having to work Sat/Sunday's to support my family. Sorry for the whinge!

Yeah i can get bored but only when doing the same thing every day. Thankfully most of my jobs are different in some way and in different places. Mostly i am happy tiling.

just work out what each tile is worth to lay and it'll put a smile on your face when you pass the 200 mark,hehe.

Enjoy the work but some customer's have been watching the wrong programmes on tv, Property ladder comes to mind every job looks easy (anybody can do that) and some of the questions they ask, where did that come from, I feel like a grumpy old man my patients wears thin at time's.

You must have the patience of a saint pjc, toolmaking would be too much for me. Maintenance at the moment so move around the site a bit, different kit etc. I long for my fishing but it is easier and quicker to chuck the clubs in the boot and off.

Never get bored with tiling....new job..new tiles..new customer.....not like being stuck on a housing estate tiling identical kitchens and bathrooms ....that would do your head in....domestic much better......

I get a bit bored working on my own, tiling can be a lonely job sometimes, then when i do site work having a laugh with all the other guys and messing around, you no the stuff i mean other trades walking on wet tiles, turning boarders tiles upside down etc...I think i will stay getting bored on my own:lol:

1. 1. fishing is far from boring i do sea fishing in my boat, u can not beat being out there on a flat calm day, u can forget yourself, the dog,cat , kids & THE WIFE lol :hurray:​

I used to get dreadfully sea sick whenever I went boat fishing which was a real bummer cos I loved it

Dad used to take me fishing all the time as a kid,get up at 5 watch a piece of plastic in the water till 7 at night,maybe catch a few fish whoo hoo!Promised never to put my son through that torture.

I would be up for sea fishing with a group of mates and a load of tinnies though:8:

Its good that everyone has their own little hobbies,keeps us sane.Horses for courses.

I love tiling,different locations,customers,materials.Looking at your finished work and the customers smiles......Priceless
