Hi guys

Thought I'd ask your opinions. I keep seeing these advertised and they look quite useful but I'm just not sure how good they are and if I would get my money's worth out of it.

Has anyone got one and would you recommend them? I do a lot of stone work so the scribing side of it looks worth having but what's it like at cutting holes with the core's? Has anyone used it on 20mm granite/marble/limestone?

Thanks in advance

I use the Rotozip version.. good for curve cutting and bespoke shaping ... you can also use the Bosch high speed dry hole cutters.. it depends on what type of work you do as to how often you could use it..

doesnt like goin through porcelain ,profiler handy for nicking corners out of toilet flush set ups ect,
handy on soft stone for dry cutting holes, use m ine mebbe once a week, easier to drill holes with combi drill imo

Use mine for cutting out odd shapes that a drill can't, but it's pretty gutless on porcelain. For standard holes you're as quick, and neater, with a diamond core.

The dry hole cutters aren't really worth the extra price tag they command imo.

Its mainly stone tiles I fit. The occasional porc job. Thought I'd upgrade my kit and get some pukka hole cutters. What do you guys use for cutting holes on stone and porc? Is it better to go with the 365 kit and keep replacing them or go marcrist/rubi kits? The new marcrist dry hole cutters to go on grinders look like they would be tasty on stone. Anyone tried them?

I use Armeg hole cutters for porcelain. They're not cheap but they do give a nice finish. I bought this kit Armeg Porcelain Tile Cutter Piping Set 8Pcs | Screwfix.com but there are lots around and probably cheaper but this one does the job nicely. I also do a lot of stone and I haven't found anything that beats Disston Remgrit Holesaws which you can get from Screwfix. They are relatively inexpensive and do a fantastic (and fast) job on most types of natural stone. Here is a link to the 35mm Grit Edged Holesaw 35mm | Screwfix.com but they come in a variety of sizes. I'd recommend drilling a pilot hole first with a standard glass/tile bit (the Armeg ones last for ages).

you can drill a hole in porcelain in less than 10seconds if you use the machine correctly.

Brilliant tool

Brilliant cutters

Super fast

Make sure you read instructions on how to use properly and you will be amazed!

Must mention they cut a bit rougher than a wet diamond core, but if there is a shroud then it's not an issue

SERIOUS time saver

And you don't need a guide or water!
