Bosch v Fein

Chaps,
Looking at Oscillating saws, i was going to go for the Fein Multimaster. However, i used a customers Bosch multimaster yesterday and it seemed to be just as good and the spares (ie blades etc) seem cheaper.
Overall, its seems better priced (you can get the Bosch and the tilers blade set from Amazon for £130) which is at least £30 cheaper than Fein.

Thoughts?

It would be the Fein for me, having tried both of them I know the difference in price is worth it.

I'v not tried the bosch, as i have the fein which i consider to be a superb bit of kit, well worth the extra cost.

i have both of them,the fein is the better of the two for build/noise etc,but i tend to use the bosch more due to it having blade fixing lugs not just a hex key like the fein.nightmare the amount of times the blade would come loose on the fein,does'nt on the bosch due to the lugs. i belive the new fein has lugs so if i was buying now would go for the fein,but depends on how much you would use it.£130 from amazon way to expensive for a bosch,should be able to pick one up for half that (new).

the Bosch on Amazon is £61 - i added the other £60 odd for the tilers blade set.

Fein comes with a quick release blade fitment now.

In this dilemma myself. Realistically, if you're only cutting a bit of architrave a couple of times a week and removing the odd joint of grout would the extra price be justified? In saying that, I'm a bit of a tool snob (why I use sigma :lol: ) so would rather have the Fein. Just wondering if it'd be worth near enough double the price?

I had the bosch one.. ( gave it to my bro).. i have the Fein now and it is quieter and smoother to use..

So it has to be Fein for me..

Suppose it all comes down to how nice it is to use. Knowing my luck I'd buy the Bosch and end up with a regrouting job. :lol:

Mark (United) used my fein today and he could tell the difference in quality compared to his bosh but you have to buy within your budget or we would all have feins, dewalt cutters etc

Yep the build quality on the Fein is in a different class to the bosch green which I have. I have not used the more expensive bosch blue.

As John says you have to buy within your budget. That's what I did and I will upgrade when I can in the future.
