just been into topps the manager in there told me this eases through travertine and granite and would save loads of time, not sure myself has anybody got one ?

This cutter has the ability to cut large format and thicker tiles with ease and offers a 2 year guarantee.
It has a high precision cutting head with replaceable 22mm tungsten carbide cutting wheel; that glides through tough substrates such as marble, travertine and granite, without the need of a wet wheel cutter.
It also has a comfortable economic handle and handy wheels for easy transportation, as well as excellent quality shock absorbing trays.

Cuts up to 20mm thick
Straight cuts up to 900mm
Diagonal cuts up to 635mm
High precision, replaceable cutting head
Replaceable shock absorbing trays

Travertine isn't a tile I'd tackle with a dry cutter at all. Whilst some might cut okay, a lot wont. The quality of the trav must be an important factor too. If it's soft it'll snap easy, if it's tough it'll snap in random places no matter how much you score the surface of it.

If you were breaking/cutting trav without a wet cutter, you'd probably use a bolster chisel and do it like brick layers do. Put a dent in it all the way around the tile, front, back and ends, then whack it and it'll break on that point. But it's time consuming and not the neatest of cutting methods.

Maybe you could score the front and back of the tile and it'd be more accurate. I don't know I'm not the most experienced when it comes to trav to be fair. But I wouldn't use any make dry cutter that's for sure.
