I can understand the unplugging for lunch etc but what i can't understand is the fact that you buy a machine and it doesn't automatically come with a power lead. I'm buying it why do i need security at the point of sale, i'm not nicking it???????

I'm going to buy a new TV this weekend i hope it comes with a lead so i can watch it....................

Is it not a legal requirement that electrical products supplied within the EU include the relevant cable with the machine itself?

Keeping the cable option open for different countries makes sense, I get that bit.

My issue is, when spending a lot of dough on a big tool like this, it shouldn't be an additional expense.

What a load of twaddle....a security measure....I have heard it all now... I think if you went for lunch someone might notice someone dragging a 57kg cutter out of the site! Its such a bad excuse its funny.
