Just a pretty fence to keep the dogs out or dugs as they are generally known up here and keep the weaned in! And it needs to look pretty so I think a picket fence! So posts submerged 600 and 1.5m appart!
Tts, I like your tips on the sloping to preserve the wood! I was planning on just screwing it all together but might get my bro to get me a passlode. What's the best way of digging the holes? And I am aware of the spade, just wondering if there wad a fancy gadget I could hire?

I use a pinch bar, also known as a spud bar to break up the ground. This is great for getting rocks etc out of the ground if they are in the way.

I would space the posts at 1800mm too.
