I was seething this week when I read that the rob dogs at Carillion, thought that it was justifiable to introduce 120 day payment terms!!

They were always bad payers now they are just taking the p.

Indeed, I havent worked for them for years , infact from the days of Tarmac construction.
It seems they think the bigger they are gives them the rights to do what they want !

That is ridiculous , that could send many a company under when they cannot pay merchant bills etc on time and their accounts get frozen.

Some poor bugger will need the work and end up working for them. Commercial work would stress me out too much, I don't know how anyone has the patience to deal with some of these idiots.

The more I think about it, the more I understand why so many subbies and contractors go to the wall. I was speaking to my haulage man on Wednesday, and he has the contract for all the haulage for the crossrail project for Carillion. He told me that some of his invoices are over 6 months overdue, from this mob. I said just stop their deliveries till they pay Bri, simple as that. You can not trust anyone these days when it comes to money.
Carillion might have shot themselves in the foot though, all those government contracts they hold, then trying to justify themselves by saying they help their subbies. No one for one second is buying that.
