I'm new to the forum and i'm hoping to get some advice from those more learned than myself, I'm having 32m2 of tiling done which will be over UFH the subfloor is concrete screed my tiler advised he would like to use a self levelling compound to cover cables and as a good surface to tile on. When buying the materials, i advised the store of the requirements and they provided Larsen adhesive and self levelling compound, this they ordered in specifically the self leveller, the problem appears to be that this is water based and doesnt have the flexibility required the store have advised of admixtures....mentioned latex which could make this right, theyre unwilling to take the items back as it was special order, can anyone advise whether there is an additive. Thanks in advance you assistance is greatly appreciated

ive attached a link to the product in question
Larsen Building Products - Flooring - Manufacturer, Supplier of Concrete, Mortar and Plaster, Tiling, Flooring, Waterproofing, Timber and Filling and Sealing products based in Northern Ireland.

The SLC I use (level it one by Ultra) is water based and is suitable for UFH and can be built up to 50mm thick. So water based levellers are suitable and as Sir Ramic says, the one you have states it is correct for the job.

Does that include ply floors...

We always add to our quotations:...powder flexible.....
"After the Elektra mat is / mats are installed a powder flexible self-levelling compound / powder flexible tile adhesive is used to cover the underfloor heating & fix the floor finish. ( 6-8mm in total not in addition to the 3.9mm cable thickness ) "
Warm regards, Keith.
