yes m8 , you can get a on site assesment nvq2 and 3 ! ive just completed mine ! took me around 6 mths and you dont even have to leave site! theres a bit paper work involved and they need to take pitures of you doing various tiling tasks. ie marking out , tiling window reveals etc !

If you have a city and guilds you wont need an nvq, all you will need is A CSCS card which will cost you £17.50 for the test and £25 to get the card, that will get you on a building site.
