Hi guys, some of you may or may not know that I am running the 2009 Flora London Marathon on behalf of Macmillan Cancer Support.

My reasons for running for this wonderful charity are well documented on my just giving sponsorship page.

Macmillan is a British charity that don't have a huge fundraising day backed by the media and hoards of celebritys trying to make there selfs look good like Red Nose Day or BBC's Children in Need. Its a charity that is seriously struggling to keep the funds rolling in this rescission and needs all the help they can get.

I'm asking you guys and girls if firstly you could take the time to read the link to understand why I want to put my self through this ridiculous road race and secondly to where possible sponsor me to help me reach my fund raising goal.

I understand If you give to other charities and would rather not support macmillan for what ever reason. But If you can afford to go without a couple of *** packet's or a couple of pints on a Friday night to really make a difference to some ones life that has been inflicted with an awful disease through no fault of there own, then please please do!

I've read the 'Jade Goodie' thread and see lots of you have lost friends relatives to Cancer and am sure you would love to help.

Don't let Cancer sufferers be the real victims of the rescission!

Thank for posting this, I have my own way of donating to various charities though and would like to stick with that, but was impressed with what you wrote on the justgiving page and wish you good luck on the day, well done.

thats £26 Fred you can do it on line now or wait until I'm finished its up to you mate but I warn you I'll do all 26.2 miles if I have to cross the finish line on my on my knees if that's what it takes.

You go for it mate. I'll do it when you've done it, fair that way. My wife & I do alot for cancer research after her breast cancer, so this is good.:hurray:

cheers Strummerman. your right it is such a worthy cause. I my self do lots for many diffrent charities like help for hero's, Monkey world, NSPCC and the Royal British Legion. But now I have so much space for Macmillan. They have helped my family so Much.
