anyone do site work? I'm told no tanking and green star for 600x300 porcelain on walls.
BS doesn't apply to new houses it seems.

As I've said before surely for British standards to have any relevance when doing alterations or new builds that require being signed of by building control the bs should be building regs .
If not they're are just another to toothless quango with no relevance .

British standards are not law though ? And how can you tell a builder who has been building houses for years to tank something when he has never done it in decades ? Most know my person preferance, and i do believe things and products get forced on us in every trade to sell and make more profit, probably with a few back handers .
Is tanking a ok thing, and does it help, most definitely helps in a very poor installation

Exactly my point. It's not law therefore be should be regs or don't bother telling us this is how you got to do it and for us to tell you its going to cost x hundred pound for the document
