Some people just don't appreciate when they've got good value for money.

I know what you mean with some customers. I've had a few where I've just wanted to be out of the house. The current lot I've got are great. Although I do feel I've outstayed my welcome a bit because the job's taken a bit longer than anticipated - a few issues incuding a bad arguement I had with a wet room former.

On the subject of tile alignment. I do tend to ask the customer how they want their tiles done. Recently I had to phone a lady at work to get a response, but we both felt it was worth the bother. Having said that, we're not mindreaders!

MZ,

I think I would go and fix the small grout problem, request the final amount due, and (if as expected) she comes up with some song and dance about not paying the final 40 pounds, I would thank her for confirming your expectations and leave her wondering what you meant. 40 pounds isn't worth spiking your blood pressure over.

Some people are just low-rent and you can't do anything with them.
