A local tile supply company refuse to accept the return (for exchange) of £1000 worth of Tumbled Travertine wall tiles because I failed to notify them within 28 days that they had delivered the wrong colour. I had ordered Rojo Alicante but took delivery (along with other stuff) Classic Rose. The Classic Rose is a light pink colour and the Rojo Alicante is a darker red/brown colour.

The bathroom floor has been tiled with an Akoya Bone which is a light cream/brown colour - a perfect match for the Rojo Alicante but just unbelievably bad against the Classic Rose. Has anyone any ideas on how I might stain or otherwise darken the light pink of the Classic Rose. Just in case you ask I've tried several coats of Colour Intensifier but just makes them look more pink.

I can be "CONSTRUCTIVE", It's just that I'm not telling you what you want to hear, Like You can buy brand 'X' and paint it onto the surface of your tiles allow 24hrs to dry and "PROBLEM SOLVED"

Is that what you wanted to hear?

Seriously, you are not the first to make this mistake and you certaily won't be the last, but Colour is Colour and you need to make sure that it is correct (VERY IMPORTANT!!).

You could also try BEGGING, PLEADING and you could also throw in some GROVELLING as well at the tile shop at which you purchased your tiles.

If that fails then you could always reach into those ever growing deeper pockets and pull out another 1000 quid and your problem is solved.

Firstly if you placed a written order for Alicante Rojo and they delivered classic rose the 28 day rule does not apply. You ordered one thing and they delivered another. They are at fault and not you!

Colour intensifier is exactly what it says it is and will not change the base colour much it will only intensify it and bring out the features in the stone. What intensifier did you use? Where did you buy the tiles? Where are you in the Country please? If you can answer the above I will try to help you!!!
