Just finished using Cornertape(6mm) to Silicon my newly tiled bathroom.

I'm very pleased with the results. The product was simple to use and the yellow plastic tool (included) helped to provide a smooth joint.

I did find I wasted a bit of Silicon as I tended to overload the joint with Silicon as I knew there was no chance of overspill because of the silver masking tape. No doubt with with increased use I would be able to be more efficient with the Silicon. At least the excess found it's way onto tissue paper rather than a mess on the wall!

Big Smudge - Are you getting the product into the DIY sheds or even Screwfix?

Reading the replies/ between the lines is it seems half the battle with pushing it to the pro's is it is almost an affront to their abilities:40:

Anyway, best of luck with it .... innovation that works well deserves out support

Hi Monsoon,

I'm very pleased that you found the CT performed for you, and yes you're wright about the pro's , i'm sure that over time they will warm to the idea. Many thanks for the post, another happy customer:thumbsup:. We are talking to lots of the big companies but it takes time, but the more positive posts that people put on here helps our cause no end, so again many thanks.

Best regards
Andy

Hi Kev,

Thanks for the feedback:thumbsup: , thats another one to cornertape, i've lost count of the score now, hehe.

I'm sure you'll agree that until you use CT its difficult not to be a little sceptical about it, but once used its hard not to be impressed with the results.

Hi Guys,

Just to let you know that we have another retailer onboard with 'CornerTape' the company is called MKM, they're builders merchants and have 28 depots down the east coast, from Scotland down to Essex. They supply tiles and bathrooms as well as heavy side building materials.

MKM showed an interest in cornertape a while ago and asked that we conduct a demo morning at one of their depots (last week) and as a result of how well that morning went, we are now setup as suppliers. We still have to get around all the depots and speak to them, but that shouldn't take to long.

I have to say that the guys in the skegness depot are some of the most friendly people that i've come across within the industry and i'm sure that as well as good prices, friendly faces do make a difference and probably explains why they were so busy, there was a steady stream of people all morning whilst i was there.

If anyone lives in the Lincoln area we're at MKM tomorrow morning from about 8.00am so come along and have a look at the demo's and have a go yourself.

Best regards

Hi Andy, John here, we met at CTD Norwich this week.

Have to admit I was impressed with the CT, I'm sure you get plenty of guy's who can "do it better" but we're not all old pro's who can use a lolly stick at 30mph

See you on your travels m8.

Hi John,

I was at CTD Peterboro' today and converted a few guys, they were very sceptical about it at first but after seeing it they would now use it in situations where its very difficult to get a good finish by using traditional methods, i.e behind TAPS (where there isn't enough room to get a consistent bead of Silicon with the gun) and wall and floor joints were just a couple of examples. These guys were very good with the gun because they showed me, so it was good that they came up with a couple a examples which they even found difficult and could see the benifits of using CT. SO all in all a good day.

Best regards
Andy

I just wanted to say this is a great product and i have no exprience in using silicon sealent before (complete silcon sealent virgin  ). Was told about this product by a mate at work when i said i don't know how to lay sealent between my tiles and kitchen worktop) and tried it today on my kitchen and its 100000% better finish than if i did it by hand :) Only tricky bit is getting the corners right when laying the cornertape and making sure that i don't have a thick layer of silicon on the silver tape.

Thanks for this great invention :8: I'm happy and most importantly the missus is happy
