Movement joints are required over supporting walls - British Standards recommendation.

I'm not aware of any floor size limit on the BS recommendation, but in this case the tiles are cracking over the supporting wall and therefore, yes, a movement joint would appear to be necessary. Its something I havn't really looked for in the past when quoting for tiling wood based floors but I think I will check in the future - and probably recommend the floor is not tiled!
