Creating a website?

Hi peeps I'm after some advice. I can't afford to get anyone or any companies to make one for me so I would like to have ago myself. I've bought domain names, but not really sure where to go from here, e.g programmes to use, hosting etc? Anyone able to help

PS. tried Google but theres some much crap on there, buy this buy that

I guess that all depends how IT savvy you are ? I wasnt so I went with a £50 job with MrSite but although its been great value, I do wish I had gone with a company such as www.MoldableMedia.com

I would recommend Moldable media too. Spending a few hundred pound is a splash in the ocean when it comes to the exposure it will give you. You could have the best website in the world, but if it's not designed to rank well, then no one will be able to find it. If you don't have enough spare cash just now, then save for a bit and get it done properly and you won't regret it.

I built my site free from GBBO too, have a look.But I'm waiting to see Mr Hobsons site too then I think I'll go with moldable.

The same as andy allen, and hillhead, it all free. Mine still needs a bit of tweaking though, and i will ring the free help line when i have the time to sit down and sort it
