I'm looking at getting site work or be available if the opportunity arises thats why i want it. As far as i knew you dont need an nvq to get it but i think i'll have to phone them up.

you wont get a trade card without a minimum of nvq 2

you will get a basic card which has to renewed after 12 months and wont be renewed if you are not in training

officially no , you need an nvq2 or be working towards one

unofficially it depends on the site agent, ive tiled on site with painting and decorating on my cscs card

Anyone can get a cscs card no matter what the trade, no nvq etc etc is needed. Does not matter atall what it says on your card as the title, you will get onto a site. It is all down to safety, something goes wrong they are covered as you have done the health and safety test.
Hang on he has "labourer" on his card why is he laying tiles? "he is labouring on the tilers", no one cares, it is a money making scheme and a scheme to cover health and safety bases.
