Never tried with a grinder, but sounds like it'd be worth a go.

For quadrant showers, toilets etc I do a few lines up to the curve on the wetsaw, break off with the nippers and then nip the remaining shape out. Can get it nice and neat although if the grinder with a curved blade was able to do it in half the time then I'd be all for it.
