Customer street are gonna get it!!!

Friday i was driving back from chesterfield where i bought my van.

I got a call from withheld number so i picked up thinking it would be some work.

It was them bstrds from customer street again!!!.

Now i have had 3 phoe calls from them in the last 2 mnths that ended badly.

One of the calls i posted about on the forum already. In another they told me that my website wasnt ranking well and they could make me a better one. I told them it was ranking top 3 for hertfordshire, bedfordshire and cambridgeshire, but they said it wasn't. That argument went on for around 20 minutes before i hung up.

Well this time i lost the plot!!

The woman on the end of the phone said " hello i'm calling rom customer street"
Straight away i said sorry i'm not interested thanks, she says have you heard from us before then? say yes just a few times and im not interested thanks. She says let me finish first, i say no thanks, she says well i can take u off the system if u stop being rude! I say excuse me but im not being rude if u could take me off your records that would be great, she says well stop being rude and i might!! I say im not being rude just take me of the bloody system, she say STOP BEING RUDE AND I MIGHT!!!.............................

Now my head nearly blew off at this point and every driver within 3 cars of me could ave heard the explosive volley that came next. Basically it was like this......

I AINT F**(guess the rest) BEING RUDE, YOU WANNA SEE RUDE I'LL F*(guess the rest) COME DOWN THERE AND RIPP YOUR F*(guess the rest) THROAT OUT!! WHAT THE F*(gues the rest) YOUR NAME AND WHERE ARE YOU BASED!!!!

The line went quiet for a few second and then she said in a mouse like voice Lindsey.

LINDSEY F*(guess the rest) WHAT??

I can't give you my second name.

RIGHT NOW I SWEAR IF I GET ANYMORE ABUSE FROM ANY OF YOU ***** (that word is too rude to evn show part of) I'M GONNA FIND OUT WHERE YOU ARE BASED AND SMASH THE (can't say) OUT OF EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU IN THE F*(guess the rest) OFFICE!!!!!

Thats when the she hung up.

Now i was in a proper ginger haired rage, i was foaming at the mouth, i'd gone red in the face (reder than normal) and the vain in my neck which is famous for apearing when i lose it was about to burst all over the place.

I wasn't finished with my rant so i phoned my pal and got him to look up customer streets number on his work pc and then i phoned them.

I felt a it sry for the poor operator on the end of the phone that got a full tangerine candyfloss lashing, but at the end of it all i got my name and number erased from ther database.....for now!!!

I tell ya one day i hope customer street have a stall at an exhibition or ssomething coz i'm gonna turn up cover it n petrol and burn the f*(think ths is the one dh) to the floor!!!!!!

Good for you Wivers. I gave them some serious verbal abuse a month or so ago 'cos they kept phoning me asking if I could handle more work. I explained that I could handle a lot more if they stopped effin phoning me during the day and preventing me from completing the work that I was supposed to be doing! Poor bloke on the other end said that he would try and get me removed from their database too - we'll see LOL!

So judging by your thread, you dont recommend "customer street" and feel quite strongly about them.
They keep phoning me and i just tell them that i dont do tiling - end of conversation.

If there's one thing I've learned with customer street its not to laugh at them when they mention the price (£299 in my case) because they get awfully shirty with you if you do :whatchutalkingabout

well have phoned me in the past and been really pleasant with a "no thx" but today was too much, 9 calls from them!!! was tearing my hair out in the end and gave in with a mouthful of abuse.

I had a call today and it was, unusually, perfect timing.
I had just finished applying Ardex WPC and needed to give it an hour or two to dry before tiling. I'd just cleaned all my tools sorted out water etc. and was tucking into a sandwich at 10.30 'ish, enjoying some lovely sunny weather.

My phone goes and it's a "private no", so I thought I'd have some fun. Anyway, he gives it the usual load of waffle and says that he has 40 leads for me and it will only cost 1p per day. I led him on for 20 mins or so, then put him on hold whilst I took a call on my other line. He was still there when I came back to him - LOL- so I asked him to recap as I'd forgotten the reason for his call. He went through it again, and just as he was about to go for the close I said "but I already have a domain name registered and I have professional qualifications in web design, so what am I paying £30 per month for?". He went through his waffle again and was about to close so I said "Yell.com have given me 2 months free enhanced listing on a try before you buy, what are you going to do?". He said we don't work like that. I said "I don't ask my customers to pay a 1 off registration fee before I let them see samples of my work, why should I pay you?"; That stumped him so he changed the subject and tried to close me again.

My customer was listening to the conversation and was falling about the place with laughter, I haven't had so much fun on the phone for ages!

My tanking was almost ready to be tiled onto by now so, I thought I would mix it up a bit. I said "aren't you lot listed on Blagger.com as being rather dodgy?", he said we've got over 56,000 customers so it's not surprising that one or two have not been happy with our service. I said "yell.com have got a lot more than 56,000 customers and I haven't seen their name on Blagger", again silence.

He tried once more but in a very loud and aggressive manner, concluding with "...and I will be your personal account manager for the next 12 months", well that was it for me I expalined that he sounded very rude and aggressive and not someone that I felt I could work with. I, also, gave him the name of a tiler that I know locally (who is a complete knob) and suggested that he hassle him instead!

Bottom line I managed to kill and hour and a half at customer street cost and provided good entertainment for both me and my customer whilst the tanking dried. As a bonus, hopefully, a local competitor is now getting waste of time calls to interupt his day too - LOL!

SPAM NOTICE: We don't want sales calls. Do NOT contact us if you're selling a service. That includes "Customer Street".

I have emailed them on a number of occasions telling them to stop using the database. And we rank 3rd in Google for "customer street" hoping we stop people getting robbed by them. I also provide links to their BLAGGER LISTING in that topic that ranks well.

And note that they use all the databases on the net to make their own sales list. yell.com, thompsons included. Both the free and paid listings.

Im registered with the TPS now but I've still got around 2 weeks before I have been on their list the required 28 days, but hopefully all these kind of calls with then stop, though Customer street are getting silly now, had over 12 calls from them in the last few months :mad2:

I told customer street i was registered with the TPS and haven't had a call since....in-fact i haven't had a cold call for a while now.............so i know TPS works......so get registered a.s.a.p. peeps..........
