had a splashback to start monday had priced it before he had removed the old tiles though it would be straight forward but went and the walls were in a bad state after removing the old ones:yikes:. couldnt really add on top of the price as they were a neighbour of my mums so i preped them and got on with it,a day and a half turned out 2 1/2 days was really tee'd off at the end of today only to be given a £65 tip in the envelope so it just goes to show quality pays and not all customers want it on the cheap (if only they all were like that) sorry for the rant!

must be the week for it! I re-tiled a shower area today for a customer and discovered the shower controller had been leaking for quite sometime (terrible bodged DIY by the look of it!) as I've had work off them in the past I renewed the feeds and de mastic'ed the fittings and did them properly! (the whole thing was 'glued' together to try and stop obvious leaks!) but my point being I would have done that as good practice and courtesy anyway and lo and behold I found an extra 50 in the envelope tonight!...make's it all worthwhile when people appreciate your time and effort dunnit?!.....I might even stop being so cynical...!
