Cutting 12mm vitrified unglazed geometrics, which wet saw???

Following on from a previous thread where i inquired about which supplier to use for geometrics to use on some Victorian paths and having got in some samples from various companies. I have pretty much decided to cut the required pieces as against purchasing in the form of pre cut shapes, due to the repros all having a slight bevel on. i also saw that some of the specialists here did just this.

So what would you guys recommend to do the job? i needed an excuse to buy a good quality wet saw for some time, again i look at its purchase as a investment so the money side is not a issue i just what a saw which i can get repeatable accurate clean cuts from down to 50mm squares without chipping. Is there a saw which will the job, and what blade is recommended, is there, a supplier here which guys would recommend, or am i just hopping mad.

Dewalt 2400 takes some beating imo

Is it capable for repeated accurate cuts to within .5mm over and over without chipping? i have not see or used one to comment at all, my fear was chipping at the points of triangles etc. From previous threads there seems to be 2 camps one who love it others which are not their greatest fans, if the saw has faults what would they be?

I have only ever used the Dewalt blade, but others on here prefer other makes, never had a problem with chipping.

With the size of cuts you may need I'd count all my fingers after each cut with the wet saw!
I use a TS40 for all my geometric work, with a toffee hammer and a pair of Oporto breakers all the pieces required can be set up on a jig and repeat cuts can be achieved.

Being fairly new to the trade i just wanted to see if there was a preferred choice/ method, on either a station head and sliding bed or a overhead rail, moving head system. i come from a background in joinery and if cutting board etc, then the best results are achieved on beam saws where the head travels and the work remains stationery as against a sliding table and wondered if i would get better results from a rail system with the work remaining static on a jigged bed for repeat cuts as against sliding back and forth numerous times.
Thank you for your response Phil and i will certainly look at the Dewalt and others like it. If anybody else has any thoughts or do in fact cut geometrics from larger tiles on a regular basis then it would be great to hear their thoughts also.

I may confess to not even thinking of cutting other than by means of a wet saw, i figured that due to the amount required and the quality of the resulting cut of the saw it would be the preferred method, i take your point however of keeping track of all the digits, i am fairly confidant that i could jig something to retain the pieces whilst cutting. I was thinking of making up a jig to hold a number of pieces under a rail type saw so as to cut a number of pieces at each pass,
