hi i need a new tile cutter i have been using a grinder for years and it had its day, should i get a new grinder or something else must me dry cutting all advice welcome:mad2::mad2::mad2:

Tiling for 10 years with a grinder! get away.
It all depends on your main kind of tiling and tiles used, IMO a dry cutter for the straights and a grinder with a good wheel for the notches on ceramics and most hard tiles, a wet cutter on your naturals and resing bonded aggrigates.

If you're drilling then we do cores but even they need water

Having a bit of water reduces dust exposure to the installer as well as making it easier to collect

Defo mate get your self a wet cutter they become your best freind when tiling so worth spending money on ,try not to go for cheap end of market try and get a plastic bath tray to go under it cos they can be messy.:smilewinkgrin:

The DeWalt is a top class cutter, but is pretty big and sometimes means standing outside in the cold and rain to do your wet cuts.

I love mine but am currently in the market for a smaller wet cutter.

has anyone heard anything good or bad about the montolit mini ellctro as stocked by tradetiler?

Buy a wet saw! They don't have to cost a fortune and YOU PROTECT YOUR OWN LUNGS!!! Dry dust is a real killer, so stop cutting dry. OK? :8:

get a wet cutter and a grinder with a descent disc , you need both.. of course you should have a dry rail cutter as well..

I bought a Rubi DW250 But end up useing my Trusty little £55 Plasplugs contractor plus most of the time (still love my Rubi though) but a lot of dough to be sat in my shed alot :mad2:

not any more it seems, unless i'm getting my websites mixed up. the Rubi basic one on tradetiler looks like the kind of back up machine i'm after.

trying to get the dewalt d2400 into a well decorated house to cut large format tiles for a small bathroom is a bit inconvenient to say the least.
