D24000 tip...

I have one critisism of the D24000 (it's a small one). Don't you wish the bung in the water tray was nearer the edge or in the corner. I find it a pain to drain most of the water thro the bung then replace the bung then lift the tray to pour the last of the water over the corner. Am I doing it wrong?

Sandy, I agree...we're not thrilled with the placement of the drain plug.

Thanks for that, Rob. With the machine being such a great design I was beginning to think I was some kind of idiot!

Hardly worth worrying over. When i am cleaning up I remove the machine from the tray and then the plug and use a sponge to push all water and sediment through the plug hole.

My DeWalt is one of the first made, so it is a bit old by now. I haven't studied the new ones to see if anything has been changed since I got mine. THe only thing that I had real problems with was the GFCI block on the cord. I replaced it several times and ended up eliminated it altogether. My Sparky made a nice GFCI 4-way for us to use, and I always plug the saw into that.

the way you all love these yellow machines im suprised yoy even worry about the drain plug. i thought yo would have a mobile valet service on hand to completely clean down an polish after every job :lol: only jelous
