Hi

I've just had my bathroom tiled in white matt ceramic/porcelain tiles and today I noticed shadow spots on all the tiles. The tiler explained that it's the moisture from the adhesive coming through the clay back of the tile and that it will dry out. I'm not confident with this answer because 36 hours have passed and the tiles still look the same. He's coming back tomorrow to grout and I'd really appreciate some advice on whether or not these shadowy stains will indeed dry out and if not what action needs to be taken. The adhesive is white Larsen standard wall tile adhesive.

Thanks
AMcC

Please see photo below. Not great light but sots best seen in the area of light reflection. Will they dry out. Tiler came with a plumbing team recommended by a reputable bathroom showroom.

a wall with an extension lead magically stuck to it  to be fair the OP did mention walls in one of the posts!

It's just an odd angle to take the pic from, either the op is spiderman hanging from the ceiling, or they really stretched over so as not to get their feet in the shot

Ann I reckon your floor will dry out but if it was dot and dabbed as it looks then your floor has weak spots in it and is more likely to crack under pressure than if it was solidly fixed

It's a wall! The photo has appeared upside down on the site. I'm no expert on tile quality but we paid £*** pounds for aprox 7mtrs sq. The tiles are 8mm thick.

The quality of the tile isn't the problem here, it's the fixing method. There is fairly good coverage on the tile judging by the spots but, if the marks don't dry out it'll have to be done again.
