DC wiring circuit for controlling fans Discussion ThreadDC wiring circuit for controlling fans Electrical Advice

Hi All,

Trying to put together a circuit to make some fans work via a thermostat. The thermostat will pick once a certain temp reaches which will notify the system the temp has increased and at the same time allow the fans to turn on as the contact in thermostat is normally open and closes once the temp reaches to the set limit.

Had a few doubts not sure if I can use the thermostat as the switching current capacity is 30W and the fans require around 56w combined to work (Unclear regarding the max switching current capacity). Also terminating two wires within the PSU for the negative and then two wires in the Relay and then two wires in one fan which then connects to the second fan. Any ideas?

The other part of the circuit is to monitor the PSU power via a relay and feedback to the monitoring system if the PSU fails or is not connected.
