Your first ever or first this year mate?

As I've not got a sweet tooth I generally wait for the party snack type affairs like the cocktail sausages and cheese boards or cheese and crackers and things like that. Having done a stretch at Manor Bakeries (where they make a lot of Mr Kiplings branded cakes and whatnot) I tend to shy away from cakes as I ate too much when I was there haha. Typical scenario really, first week you're sick twice a day, second week you daren't even breath in the sweet smell of the cakes. I'm sure the staff used to say "eat as much as you want son" to stop you eating them.

So cocktail sausages, sausage rolls, cheese 'n' crackers for me.

never too early for a mince pie, and it's considered rude to just have one:drool5:

My mum makes her own and apparently they're really nice but I aint much for them myself. the other half has a few dozen though over Xmas but hasn't yet.

CHECK THE DATES ON THOSE MINCE PIES - THEY MAY GO OFF BEFORE XMAS WOULD YOU BELIEVE?!?! It was on watchdog the other day. Just eat 'em all and get more in but horde and save them past their sell-by date.

Dates don't bother me.... i once ate a Fray Bentos (forgive the spelling if wrong) steak and kidney pie that was 5 years out of date. I found it when visiting my gran, and it was yum. I was 15 a stupid at the time, but nothing ventured and all that!
