It is wise to use the same brand to warrant your guarantee............:thumbsup:

BAL do state that white star doesn't need a primer, but also depends upon the substrate as well ......I am the same as you i prime as it makes the substrate less porous , as long as its an impregnating type primer then it is ok to prime....but i only use bal primers and adhesives anyway....
