burble
I'm about to begin tiling my concrete kitchen floor. There is already screed on there from the vinyl that I've removed, and it's pretty flat throughout - but whoever laid it wasn't a perfectionist, and there are a couple of dips and gaps at the edges which make the tiles wobble when I'm setting them out. I'm wondering if I can get away with flattening them out with a bit of extra adhesive while I'm tiling, or if I need to look at filling them first with concrete or a levelling compound.
My main concern is a dip of 1-2mm deep and about 5cm wide, where I'll eventually want to put the foot of a washing machine.
Obviously I don't want to cut corners and end up with vibrations from the washing machine cracking a tile, but equally I don't want to make unnecessary work for myself if adhesives can handle this sort of thing. Any advice appreciated
