Never heard of D-Matt before that last post.

Checked spec and it quotes "no tile failure until total rupture of membrane." I note that Ditra spec states "Crack bridging ability 1.5mm."

Anyone tell us more about the two products? After all they almost identical and seem to adopt the same uncoupling system (grid structure of cavities).

Many contractors recommend Ditra. So I tried it once and liked it quite a lot. It's easy to apply and really keeps stone floors from cracking.
P.S. Check this article, where Ditra is being compared to another similar product: ProvaFlex vs Ditra I hope you find it useful :)
Good find! How did you find that?

Yeah, it's over the top of the mat, but it certainly doesn't separate as easy as it did in his article, it's stuck fast!
I put up a post recently where I had a labourer try and remove a piece of un grouted 700x500 limestone that was laid the evening before because it had been kicked.
Now I should have said to him just cut around the mat and lift the whole thing (cos the mat was gonna get ruined anyway) but I forgot! (Well maybe I forgot!) anyhow I wanted to see the bond strength. Took him 45 mins and it came up in 20mm square pieces haha he was not impressed! Haha and the mat was destroyed!

Just stumbled upon it when browsing the internet. I just wanted to read a thorough comparison between Ditra and some similar product. I'm glad you like it :)
Yeah I enjoyed reading that. I've bookmarked his blog.
