That's what i was told by Dural.Hmmm so you can't fix ditra/dural with an S2 even on a screed?
sameI'm using weber spf to fix the ditra to the floor but what would u use to fix the porcelain tile to the ditra ?
Oh..I'm starting a floor weds, rapid drying screed over wet ufh, screed only went down Fri, was advised to use TM Ultimate S2 to stick dural down...??That's what i was told by Dural.
I'd speak to dural and tm and get them to thrash that one out buddyOh..I'm starting a floor weds, rapid drying screed over wet ufh, screed only went down Fri, was advised to use TM Ultimate S2 to stick dural down...??
Sorry for thread hijack Kyle
Kyle just be carefull, the size of the bay's regarding expansion are an approximate guide on standard screeds, your job is pushing it to the extremes, under floor heating with ply on top is stretching it. Considerations have to be made regarding the shape of the bay's ie: 8x5 or 2x20, these factors would make a massive difference as to where expansion joints should be placed, also factors like the colour and composition of the tile in relation to how exposed they will be to sunlight on a substrate like that should not be ignored as these factors will determine the extremities the tile will face. I'm just trying to make you aware of the things that will more than likely cause a failure on a floor like this unless properly planned for.The 70 meter area consists of 40 meter kitchen 20 meter utility room and 10 meter downstairs shower room do u still think I need a expansion joint ?
And for the tile!use a adhesive suitable for the substrate
Sorry i'd skipped over a few posts and thought thread was still about addy on top of Ditrayou us an adhesive suitable for ditra to substrate and can be a different one for tiles to ditra
H I rang TM and Homelux(that make Dural) today..That's what i was told by Dural.
