Seriously though if I'm doing a floor I include them in the price,
Add a tenner for them.

£20 to supply & fit. Brass/Silver/Stainless Steel/Chrome/Square edge/Z bar, there are so many different kinds. You really have to think like Michael O'Learly (Ryanair) these days and charge for everything. If the customer is getting new carpets then I leave it to the carpet fitters to supply & fit.

I charge £10 for the bar, and the fitting of it and planing of the door bottom is covered by my day rate. If I know the customer is having a new carpet in an adjoining room, I'll neither supply nor fit (though the bar might be somewhere in my material costing )

It's my own stairs and landing carpet Geoff, entrance into my bathroom done last year, The carpet has been down 10 years and it cost me £1200 for 14 steps bound and whipped with stair rods and landing area. It's still like new. Cost a lot but well happy with it.

I noticed it was expensive mate. Shame there isn't more of it around nowadays, it's all nylon type rubbish today in creams & greys. Give me a deep pile quality carpet any day!
