They tried to sell me insurance on a phone a while since, I asked how much it was. £14 a month, there was no way I'm paying that, the girl said some people just add it on to their mortgage payment. Am I missing something here, put phone insurance on your mortgage payment! Either they are very good salespeople or the customers are thick as pig faeces. :mad2:

a neighbour of mine keeps all teh money he would spend on all these warrenties and insurance crap extensions etc in a special account.
anytime anything breaks he takes the money out of the account to repair or replace it.
he says it is very unlikely that every thing will break all at once so is always covered.
he looks at it like gambling in a casino or bookies. most of the time he loses (and uses the money to buy a new one ) but sometimes he wins and the machine lasts a long time

I've got an amp that you can't get a warranty on as its an old 80's amp that was so reliable, somebody started to upgrade them to hdmi

If it broke there are still parts to this day knocking around that we're originally put to one side by the manufacturer for warranty cover. They never ever needed them lol

Gone are those days. They manufacture electronics to break only months after their warranties run out on nearly all items these days.

i had this last week, waited in all afternoon for a gas man that never turned up!!

asked for them to give me an exact time when there going to turn up next,as it was there fault ive already wasted 6 hours of my life, only to be told i have to waste another afternoon waiting for them.....:mad2: :incazzato: 😛rrr:
If they fail to turn up a 2nd appointment you are legally entitled to claim back the cost of the 2nd missed appointment of those wasted days back from them. You can't claim for both missed appointments as you would be already expected to be available for that day.

When me and the missus first set home we bought a few warranties on white goods(the only time mind you) One of the big selling points on the washing machine warranty was that if you didnt claim in the 5yr period you got your initial premium back. 5yrs on I got £80 back, had to put new brushes in twice, but I never told them that!
