Right I do work for local kitchen company and they agree price with customer on my behalf to do there tiling, all walls preped and all matts supplied, any way I phone the customer up to do there kitchen and explain when i will be comming round. They say its 3 different colured tiles and we would like you to do a pattern, No problem i explained. I turn up to do the work and the customer hands me a excell spreadsheet with hundreds of little different coloured squares on it. He says there is the pattern we would like you to do.:furious3: This pattern had about 10 different patterns in it that alternated with each other. It must have taken them about a day to design this thing. I told the customer yea I can do it but not for £150, you will be looking at £300, they said oh just do a random pattern then.

Nea bother.

I did a job recently for a customer who asked me to finish what another tiler had started, the tiling was crap and I ended up ripping it all down and starting again. I asked why the other tiler never finished the job and she told me that she had asked him to leave her house on day 2 as she had seen him sitting in his van drinking cider and smoking pot. Its not only customers that are funny.

Few days ago got a call from a woman asking me to pop around for a quote on a floor. Arrived and she was "smashed", "do you want a brandy and coke love?" she asked.
Anyway priced her up and she said she would bell me back. Yesterday got a call for a quote, it was the same woman! went back around and said nothing to her, measured up and give the same price, she musn't have any memory of me going around the first time.
Got the job :)
this will be fun :)

i would take in my professional tool box a 12 pack of ribbed or performa durex products

if it is a longer job would take more
