As ray said, 3/4 1/4 is the way to go with an 8mm str8 edge trim

you're still gonna get the bevelled edge at top and bottom of the metro's though that 'll show when the trim's vertical ie the trim will be proud of the bevels.

That's exactly why I don't like trim with metros

I think the tucked in bevel is a lot less noticeable than the protruding cut. Will go the 1/4,3/4 route with the deeper trim. Thanks for everyone's input
