Hiya chaps,

Just wondering what the best adhesive and grout is to use with these tiles. They are 2x2 inch edwardian ceramic tiles. they are going on a floor.

Is there any advice you can give me about laying these tiles? I am going to put them on 12mm ply as I would normally use but not sure if there is anything else I should know about laying these.

Thanks
Gaz

never used them before but i would hazard a guess that flexi adhesive and flexi grout would be used in this situation GAZ.

single part flexi ( bal ) is better for tiling onto plywood......use a white one....if they have a profiled back then backskim them to get the best fix....depending on the design you might want to give a small joint...less grout more pattern if you see what i mean..........

Thanks guys.

With being old tiles they are all different sizes so will be putting down without spacers. Hoping it makes them look as though they have always been down.

So white single part flex with what? Microflex would be the best idea?

Thanks guys!

micro flex would be good gaz..if them tiles are odd sized then i would just eye them in..spacers will twist them all over the place...

Sorted then! Cheers mate!

I have found out the tiles might be porcelin, I haven;t seen them as yet.

Question is will single part white flexi still be ok? Should O use rapid set or not?

Cheers

So what is the difference between single part flexi and two part flexi, where would you use which one? I should probably know this really!!
