Electric Invoice template ..? What do you use?

Vista doesn't seem to have an invoice template - does anyone have one or suggest a format to knock up some invoices . or do you just send an email with company signature ?
I thought about that option but it's more difficult to number them that way and keep track.

I used to use an Excel template, though now I just knock up invoices in Word, has all the business details in and everything to do with the invoice. I then save it as a PDF so it can't be altered by anybody once it's been sent out. My invoices go into the likes of the sponsors and they're fine with them so they must be all right.

There are loads of types of software out there that do it though. Unless you have loads of jobs on the go at the same time, I wouldn't say the likes of Sage are really needed for smallish businesses.

I even have an app for my phone to track accounts and whatnot but once the novelty wore off I stopped using it.

Much the same as Dan....... i just created a template using pages on the mac. It's then saved in the designated folder as a PDF then sent out.

I had some headed paper made up (digitally printed for lower cost) then I just use Word to create the rest of the document and load headed paper in when I need to print an invoice or quote.
