Discuss Help, I think my tiler is doing a bad job. What should I do? in the Canada Tile Advice area at TilersForums.com.
Have a look on here, there’s a thread find a tiler
What a nightmare. Thanks everyone. Now to try to find someone to finish and fix things...
Same as I might want to work, fill, repair or buff up some stone before I apply sealercrap job, the service holes are amateur at the very best, as regards sealing travertine, I'll cut him some slack....I don't seal travertine,,till it's grouted
I reckon with modern drilling technology it's just a easy to drill as to grindTravertine hole cutting is just about the easiest to do as its soft. My daughter even cuts holes for wall hung WCs where you never see them. Bit lazy of him.
Words fail me (clean ones anyway)Unfortunately the tiler wasn't planning to seal it before or after grouting! Not necessary apparently and he has fitted lots of travertine tiles before...
Thats how he got the job....He's under-skilled and under-priced so he's put himself under-pressure!
That's too cheap for a stone install, even for travertine.
