Evening lads, I,m just about to lay tiles onto a ufh mat for the first time, the room is 7.5m x 5.4m (approx 40m2) it,s a wooden floor with ply overlay, (I intend using single part flexi) can I just lay spf direct, then tiles, or should I lay self leveling adhesive first?? if self leveling, what is the recommended leveler to use??? thanks for any advice!!!

to be totally honest mate i think i would prefer to use 1/2 " hardi backer boards as they will also act as an insulating board too.... i use spf on these boards alot with ufh and have had no probs.... whenever poss i always try to use backer boards. on the job im on at the min tho the floor has been lined with wediboard which is also great to tile over.... hope that helps...lol

Hi ya,

Just for info, Hardibacker type boards do not act as an insulating board. If you want a good insulating board then try our thermopanel @ 7.48 per board or a similar such as Dave mentioned above:thumbsup:

Hi Aaron,
Yet again a good price for thermopanel - but what size?
Is it available in the North East.
Good sales pitch not to mention the name of the other product that 'Dave mentioned above'.
Wedidone!
John.

Hi John,

Boards are 1250x600x10mm = 0.75m2

Thermopanel is available thru me or the office direct for delivery anywhere in the uk. There is a small delivery charge of £11.50 whether you have 1 or 500 boards.

Will hopefully be coming up your way over next couple of week so will give you a call to arrange to meet up:thumbsup:
