Hi everyone,
I have a wall to tile with 200x100 bevelled ceramic tiles (brick bond) . I'm tiling onto 12mm 'no more ply' cement tile backer board which for the most part is nice and flush, however one or two of the board have a small difference in alignment. Its no more than 1/8th inch / 3mm but I'm worried it might upset the rest of the job. The obvious thing to do would be to apply a thicker layer of adhesive, but I'm wondering if it's worth feathering the boards back a bit to hide the difference. The misalignment is due to a slightly warped batten so it's going to be easier to remove some of the board rather than plane the wood back. What would you do in this situation? Am I overcomplicating it when a thicker layer of adhesive would do ? Thanks in advance for your advice!
