Expansion joints

looking at peoples albums, i see that lots don't use them, WHY, i know it is not a good selling the job point ,BUT it is for our own good,and the longevity of the installation ,or do you think it is somebody (tile shop) job to make the client aware ?

A lot of tilers will use Silicon expansion joints on domestic work, colour matched to the grout so not visible.

I use them as and when they are needed, even make my own when necessary. Doorways are a must imo.
