fast set or standard set limestone walls?

hi everyone ive just started a limestone bathroom today and had a nightmare. mandarin have supplied the customers with dunlop fast set flexi white, i wasnt happy but got on with it but after a few hours was pulling my hair out. i have been on the phone but they wont take it back, they say that the fast set is so the tiles dont slip but i know you could not get any adhesive to hold 15mm limestone up, i always use standard set for stone wall as it takes longer cutting than ceramic. am i being stupid here as mandarin think or does anyone else agree? does anyone use fastset on walls cheers

I do but it's a Granfix powdered, It gives a bit of bucket life so is'nt that fast eventhough it states it's rapid

i alway use standard set Addy unless i have a prob to get over, anyway i think Mandarin stone are useless!!

why not fix your field tiles first, then get your cuts done, this should give you time to use your rapid set, (and let your cuts dry out too)

thank you ive had murder with them they tried phoning the customers to make me look stupid, i soon put that right , they said that they try and keep customers happy but as a rule they dont take powder back so i told them i also have rules that i dont ues rapid on walls and they paused, load of rubbish the only company i heard of that dont take powder back and also cleaver as the last 4 jobs i have done with their stuff they have supplied enough grout to do 10 time what was needed so customers are stuck with it

i dont like working like that if things are out ar tiles are slightly different sizes your stuffed when its gone off

its the customers i feel bad for. bugger it ill get some standard set in the morning and chuck the fast set in the van ill use it
