One way to make the blades last longer is to use the variable speed. Rather than go at it hammer and tongs...use a slower speed and take a bit more time. I'm always browsing a well known auction site and have picked up a few bargains. I've often wondered about making up some of my own blades.....I must put my ming to it soon and see what results I come up with......need access to a spot welder.

Has anybody got the cordless version of the fein?
Is it ok enough power ect.?

Andy

I had the cordless one. Power was fine but battery life was too short and it only came with one battery. You'd need to buy a couple of spare batteries to make it really useful. The battery also gave up the ghost a month out of warranty. I swapped back to a corded model.

been thinking of getting one, but price of blades has put me off, I put things down and lose them! (where's my kids, they were here a minute ago:huh2:!!)
I'm a plumbing and heating engineer and reckon to go through one blade on a complete heating system install. Well worth the cost when you consider how much time it has saved me.

Hi, I agree , but I would advise anybody buying one to go for the 400w or v model

Isn't that the supercut rather than the multimaster. It's quite a bit dearer than the multimaster and as Sir ramic has said I've never found the multimaster to struggle. It also doesn't benefit from the new blade clamping system like the multimaster.

I also have the multimaster, Like others say its one of the most important tools I have...but i now use the bosch blades, far superior to the fein ones, and cheaper the grout removal blade lasts much longer too.......
Do these bosch blades fit the Multimaster quick release fitment?

Do these bosch blades fit the Multimaster quick release fitment?

Yes in a way, they will fit on and tighten up, but could move a little.. I have a reamer that fits on my drill, enlarges the hole on the blade a little then i have a good quallity 3mm file to file 4 stars in them, you may think this is a little ott but in the long run its worth it, with thier carbide grout blades i have done several regrouts and used it for removing excess plaster and hard set addhesives etc, did a regrout with the fein 1 and it was worn out 1/2 way through..........
