Festool Tools

I used to be a member of a woodworkers forum and the Festool range was seen as top notch of the power tool range but as you say...at a price...never had any myself.

iam a big fan of the festool ts 55 saw and they are very good tools but imo makita are more than adequate for drills for what we use. dewalt make nice user friendly saws and they've carried that through to the d24000. hilti for breakers if you can get one from ebay or you've goy a few quid to spare. dewalt, makita or bosch for angle grinders...theres a limit i think you should go to on certain things and makita tick the box but theres always a brand that has an edge on one area/tool and i think festool are favoured by kitchen fitters.

Mark, I have some Festools...they work well for what we need them to do. I haven't gotten to the point of "drinking the green koolaid", but I do like the tools that I have and will likely buy more when I need them.

festool make excellant tools

at first glance you cant see why they are so expensive, they look ,feel and operate like any other tool

but unlike other tools they go on and on and take all the abuse in their stride

after years of constant use ,fitting kitchens and laying floors, they they prove to be excellent value for money

well worth every penny spent
