Hi All

Nearly finished tiling my back passage and quite pleased with the result although a bit of lippage at points cos using two different tile depths. Nightmare......

Anyway, I am about to tile the step which leads out to the garden. I am looking for ideas of how to finish the edge so it looks neat. The whole thing is a diamond pattern alternating black and red tiles so if I carry that on the edge of the step I will have a load of cut tiles facing the outside edge which I think will look horrible. Need a sort of nosing profile like the tile edges you use in bathrooms. Or alternatively I could use whole tiles at the edge and then run the diamond pattern up to them.

Any ideas thankfully received and faithfully applied

Cheers. Alan

tiling your back passage ajax sounds painful, a couple of months ago my services were required to complete a kitchen, the tiles i chose for the the splashback were black slate with complementing red glass and what looked really well was the chrome trim it really set the tiles off. maybe look well for you too with your colours.

I meant for the tile adhesive...5dgs and below is a no no...:dizzy2:

Not too cold down here in the lowlands Dave. Hovering round 6 or 8 degrees so not too bad. It just won't stop flipping raining which is why I decided to knock the step level yesterday for something to do. Leaving the rest of the tiling till the sun comes out. Should be just right for me Christmas Holiday project...:yikes:
