Finishing without trim

Hi Lads
If you had an external corner to finish but the client did not want trim what would you do if the wall was not straight and you had to cut the tiles to get a level finish.

Firstly tell the client, trim is in. If they still won't go for it for whatever reason tell them you'll have to back cut the tiles to get a tidy finish on the edge but the inside groutline may be slightly different to the others and you may notice it if you stand a stare for long enough.

Here in Australia they hardly use trim they mitre most of the time.

No I mitred this with a diamond blade in a grinder.

The affect i must admit looks stunning....thing is when it comes to a bath ..i wouldn't like to do it..becuase of the sharpe edges..... could be pretty nasty catching your leg on that ....yikes....lol

But what if the walls or windows are not square mitreing would be a swine surly ?

This is the way it was done before trims....but its not always practical...edges get chipped...corners are sharp...give me trims any day now.......dave....

So how did you over come out of square angles dave ?.

We use to square them up..or take more than 45 off the back of the tile to accommodate the angle.....dave....

I take it you used a wet cutter that could cut greater than 45 degree angles, i noticed on mine that it only goes to 45 so i would be knackered if i needed a greater angle than 45

Wet cutter if we had power or we used rubi mitre scribes in our dry cutters...hard work though........dave...
